Yes,
Purdue with a signature win over NW by 3
SJSU at 1-12 in the wac
Arizona State at 6-6 with a loss to Org state.
The information illustrates a lack of dominance by a Wisc line that is heraled as mountain movers and game changers. That sort of line should DOMINATE lesser opponents, especially if people believe they will do so to the #1 defense in the nation.

TCU played SDSU (8-4 with no loss by more than 5 pts to 3 currently ranked teams) not SJSU (1-12 in the wac)

I'm not stupid. I know they're the #1 ranked defense. I'm laughing because you are using that title to make it sound like Wisconsin will struggle against such a top defense. They're only #1 because they've played absolute arse competition. Wisconsin is going to run right through your vaunted "#1 defense".

I dont think he's laughing at the actual rankings. It's the usual..."TCU doesnt play anybody so saying they have the best defense is laughable" spiel...

well as you have already seen in this thread, if TCU does win; people will say Wisconsin didn't play well or didn't care.

Like they did against Purdue? Hell Toledo had as much offensive production aginst them.
Or like they did with Michigan State. NW had more offensive production against them.
Or like SJSU who only allowed 27 pts by Wisky but gave up 56 to Utah who TCU shut down in their house? Only 3 teams scored less on SJSU and one fo those 3 put up more yards than Wisky.
Or direct comparision with UNLV where TCU put up more yards, more points, and allowed less scored on them.

San Diego State's three losses to ranked teams consisted of:
1. #25 Missouri
2. #3 Tcu - a lot of people are (fairly and unfairly) questioning your ranking....
3. #24/25 Utah - They showed what kind of team they really are following the Notre Dame game.

Comparing past games is irrelevant. It all comes down to January 1st. The Purdue, MSU, SJSU, UNLV games don't mean shite now or then. The game is won on the field, not by comparing stats from throughout the season.

Still, two were to Mountain West non-AQ schools. I'm not saying that San Diego State isn't a good team, just that the majority of the country (or at least fans of major conferences) are going to look down upon that.
ETA: The Utah love affair is pretty much over. For this season at least. They were overrated from the very beginning. They pure fact that they were once ranked in the top 5 late into the season makes me shudder in disgust. I can totally see Boise annihilating them and following completely out of the top 25.

You're the one who threw out the #1 ranked defense stat and all the bullshite concerning different opponents. I've never compared any games, or stats, from either team. I simply said the major reason they have the #1 ranked D is because they play shite competition.
