I don't know if Winston is going to have a great career, good career, bad career or somewhere in between, but making that determination based on one game is silly.

who would have thought case keenum could rustle so many jimmy's.

my comment wasnt saying Winston would suck forever or that his rookie year has been as bad as he played last night.

It was more along the lines of saying that he is indeed capable of playing as bad as he did last night. in a thread that was: GASP!!!!, started last night

You can't compare things from 10 years ago to today. The rules have changed to drastically favor the QB. So stats lie.

I just responded to a dumb comment. You can interpret that how you see fit.

I think he's had a solid rookie season considering how shitty the BUCS OLINE is. They need to focus on improving the OLINE and possibly find a replacement for Jackson & Austin Jenkins.

So, by your logic in this thread, you really can't compare them to any QBs:

1) have to be elite
2) can't be from 10 years ago
3) can't be over 21, even if there stats are better than the older players

Who fits your criteria? It takes years to become elite, and you said he showed potential and ability, yet still can't ever be a pro bowler

And sure you can compare them, just need to do it within context for the era. Manning led the NFL in interceptions as a rookie.

Because I'm not retarded enough to think he's an elite QB?

He was running a 1 read offense his rookie year and blew out his knee.

Def the same thing

You realize that showing ability and POTENTIAL doesn't actually mean that they will 100% live up to it

Make what less true?

ETA: Hold up, do you think I'm arguing whether or not Keenum outplayed Winston?

Brees was outplayed by Mariota. Winston has too

Must mean he's gonna be elite

I wasn't the one who said they had to be 21

Can't compare those stats.
By your logic Russell Wilson is the second best QB of all time.

Learn reading comprehension. I said nothing that they have done so far has shown me they will ever pro bowlers. I didn't say that they absolutely never will be.

Ok I give up. You are right Winston is better than Manning.

Brees in his current state is far from elite.

Ok well thats all I need to know about you. You obviously don't have a clue if you think 2015 Brees is Elite.

No, you were the one who tried to twist the meaning

How so? Did you read what I even said?

Well that can be debated. Anyone who's watched the saints this year knows he still has it, but we have major oline and receiver issued

But that isn't what you said. You said "far from elite". And despite his injury, he's:

3rd in YPG (5th best of his career)
8th in Passer Rating
3rd in completion %

And at the time of the Titans game, he was playing out of his mind

Might as well take him out back with the 12ga.
