Will Tim Tebow end up having a better NFL career than Vince Young?

Vince Young (2006) 8-5 record, 184-357, 2199 yards, 51.5% Comp%, 12 TDs, 13 INTs, 6.2 YPA, 66.7 QB rating, 4 fourth quarter comebacks, 5 game winning drives
Tim Tebow (2010-2011) 8-6 record, 167-353, 2383 yards, 47.3 Comp%, 17 TDs, 9 INTs, 6.6 YPA, 75.1 QB rating, 6 fourth quarter comebacks, 6 game winning drives
Their numbers are pretty similar at the beginning stages of their career. One big difference between the two is that Tebow's TD/INT ratio is much better which speaks well for his decision making. Tebow rushed for more yards but he also took a lot more sacks as well.

Remind me again of how many teams Vince Young led to the playoffs?
I know it's a small sample size, but unless they find a dead girl or a live boy in his bed, Tebow is a more accomplished professional already.

didn't the titans go to the playoffs in 2006 and 2007?
and that's a team stat anyway

They went to the playoffs in 07, as the product of a hybrid Collins/Young season when Young kept getting his quad tweaked.
And no, playoff appearances are a definitive metric of quarterback play. You may not like it, you may argue against it at every possible opportunity, but it has a material effect on the perception of a quarterback.

perception...not reality. therefore, it isn't a metric
fools and old people bring up team stats when comparing players

And the ignorant and sabermetric oriented bring up anything else as more important.

Vince Young did almost get the Titans to the playoffs after going 0-6 one year.

I've never understood the RB/FB argument. If anything, he's built like a TE. Of course it may be too late to teach him hand skills and blocking techniques, but he'd be much better suited at TE than RB.
