Go watch an LSU club game. Those guys are just normal students. Far from the elite, but if you come away thinking they are pussies you are as dumb as you sound here.

Many people fail to realize that it can be a very grueling sport... My last season playing for LSU our 1st 2 goalies got injured within the first 3 games and I had gotten 3 concussions throughout the year.

'm almost 99% positive most of you on this board couldn't hang for 5 minutes in our indoor soccer league. Your insides would probably feel like they want to be on your outside. Not to mention it's much more physical than you could ever imagine. And oh btw, "Futbol" was created long before "American football" was created.

Never said they weren't good athletes.

Tennis players are good athletes. Triathletes are good, well, athletes.

I have no desire to watch tennis or a triathalon either.

I really just dont give a rats arse about soccer..

Its just fun to get all the soccer fans riled up because really... NOBODY gives a frick about your game. Women's basketball is just as popular in this country.

Im pretty sure 99% of the people here also couldnt hang 5 minutes running with a skinny arse Kenyan..

My point???

The Kenyan is less of a pussy than a soccer player.

I'm not a big soccer fan. I'll watch the world cup but that's about it.

But it really is humorous how clueless you are.

What exactly makes every soccer player a pussy? Can you give us some guidelines to go by?

Kenyan's have to fight lions and shite. Why do you think they are so fast.

My money is on a Kenyan before a figgy English soccer player.

Very true.

There are WRs in football that whine every time they don't get a pass interference call.

Some NBA players complain about everything.

Every sport has it.

The EPL has really cleaned up the diving, and even the players have gained a growing disdain for what they call "cheaters."

I think the WC is a poor reflection in some ways because the diving is more tolerated. I hate it.

But it is no different than any other sport.

I don't think that's an accurate analogy. It's just like a fan of any other sport. You appreciate the subtleties , and that can excite you. Of course you want to win, any fan does, but your claim about the frequency of scoreless draws is incorrect. Just from a casual look of fixtures and results, I found that around six percent of matches this season in the EPL ended in a scoreless draw. Out of 380 matches, only 26 ended scoreless. But even a scoreless game can be exciting.

Soccer, typically known outside the U.S. and Canada as "football" (see names for association football), is much less popular than the traditional major sports, although it has gained an increasing following in recent years, and is extremely popular as a children's sport.

It's probably more popular in this country than soccer. I'll bet more people know who won the WNBA last year than who won whatever the hell the soccer league is.

Americans stole the name football from Europeans. American football should be called throwball.
