Do the Cowboys make the playoffs if Dak stays healthy the whole year?

they were only a game out as it was so i'd say pretty easy call for them to be at worst 8-8 maybe as good as 10-6

Plus what would the Cowboys record be if they had Watson all year??

similar to if they had Prescott all year 8-8 minimum maybe 10-6, their D was pretty bad

easily

Who has a bigger upside??? The Cowboys or Texans???? ( head coach for Houston is a huge factor.)

interesting question. im pretty sure i'm higher on Prescott than you so it depends on his status and contract but with him in Dallas and assuming the Texans make decent GM/Coach hires i think its probably pretty even. Dallas has a easier division for the short run at least.

Of course. Nobody is coddled more by the media than Deshaun Watson. Nothing has ever been his fault. I like Watson too but shite, he’s not the first QB to be saddled with shitty talent around him.

Yeah, placing blame is not and exact science....they have been scapegoating the former coach for quite a while and yes trading one of the best receivers in the NFL for next to nothing is horrific....but at some point it's lazy and convenient to keep blaming him.

he also traded the 2020 1st and 2021 1st and 2nd round picks for Tunsil, this years 1 will be #3.

i think this is problem of social media and 24/7 coverage, The teams failings this year are 100% of O'Brien, the point to "stop blaming" him won't be until they have a new GM and Coach in place, you can't devastate a roster and expect by the end of they year since he's gone its time to quit blaming him.

I completely agree. Though I don't think many people will say that the Tunsil trade wouldn't be as bad if he had already put a contract extension into place. Instead, they are overpaying for him, two ILB's, and a slot receiver. Plus the awful return for DHop, and he just tore the roster down and didn't leave many assets for future growth. Next year is probably a wash for the Texans, and they should work to grow for the 2022 season. It's just a waste of Deshaun for a year, which is brutal.

that was beyond stupid and overshadowed only by

S Diggs got the Vikings a 1 which they used on Jefferson

but how the hell you don't get a one for Hopkins shows he's in over his head

they could easily be at least 8-8 next year, look at the last 3 games, plus the first Colts game this year. or the first Titans game.

Plus getting nothing of real value for Clowney from Seattle. BOB destroyed the roster in a ton of ways, not just the Hopkins trade which was the most egregious of them all.

I agree that Watson is good enough that they could be 8-8 next year. With the right HC and GM hires and possibly some lucky breaks maybe even a playoff team. Have to get significantly better on defense though.

on that they could have kept him and let him walk and gotten a 3, but i think we've seen there wasn't a ton of interest in Clowney
