Please. Let's be honest. If there were more American-born white guys with influential roles on good teams the NBA's viewership and following would consist of more than just the avid basketball fan.

Black players are drafted on "potential". A white player has to be fricking unreal like Fredette. Look at a player like Aaron Craft of Ohio State. I am dead serious when i say he is one of the best PG in college basketball. Do you think he will get a legit chance? Hell no! What about Kyle Singler, does he get a legit look? Hell no! They wont even be drafted. White guys have to fight a MAJOR stereotype to get a legit look at the NBA.

so explain to me why a league with majority white owners, GMs, and head coaches who are all pushing a product to majority white customers would want to keep white American players from succeeding?

they'll all go pro and very few will go to college
They don't have to commit. They either get drafted out of highschool or don't. And there won't be quite as many high schoolers being drafted after a few years, because NBA teams will be going after more college kids who have developed. It will be closer to how it was when it was a bunch of college kids and four or five high schoolers.

college is bad for NBA development
and the super studs will be drafted, like they were prior to the 1 and done rule
some will be great, some will flame out (just like college players)

I disagree. NBA teams are looking for white faces. Thats why a guy like Fredette will most likely jump 6 or 7 spots. I believe if same is same between a white player and a black player the NBA teams will keep the white guy.

I don't think Pro Basketball is dying at all. The only sports that are thriving and growing right now are the NFL, college football and MMA. There's too many outside interests. Not too long ago, you had the Big Three networks and that was it. Now we have cable television, the internet, cell phones, texting, video games and all kinds of other things that are drawing our attention away from sports.

Guys that are overlooked by the NBA. Same as baseball. Only a few will be able to and good enough to make it in the NBA, even be drafted - they will have to go the 3 yr college route.
