Idk what these people talking about.. using the backboard for a straight on shot is WAY easier than using it at an angle..

If you are a little off either way, the ball will rebound of the side of the rim and kick out. Too much momentum coming back off the backboard. Putting it directly on the rim with rotation softens the shots, deadens the balls tendency to bounce and gives more chances to make it, even on qshots long, short or to a side. Soft hands, soft release off fingers with rotation, rightt arc,
