ATL likely wouldn’t be allowed to host Super Bowl without the roof. Last night’s game would have been miserabale without the roof.
Having the roof allows you to have Final Fours.

I know in the past that Fox has demanded that these stadiums open their roofs because they wanted aerial shots. I know they made the Astros do this in the past during the playoffs even though they wanted it closed.

Minute Maid

They are somewhat better but I’ll give them a break because the majority of their season is played in extreme heat.

They actually used to open it in the late innings of night games years ago but they quit doing that.

Have always thought this. And a lot of times the open space is basically an aperture not even giving the impression of an outdoor game

I would like to spend JerryJones money. I would have the time of my life...even if the cowboys lost the super bowl.

I do agree they need to open NRG more but Minute Maid’s retractable roof has paid for itself ten fold for baseball

They make sense for baseball with the number of games. But, for a northern NFL team like the Lions or Vikes, you'd maybe open it a few times in Sept or Oct. I never really thought about how there are only three fixed indoor stadiums in the NFL.
