I can see that being an issue. He likes to sing in his native tongue so he does. So the majority of people in the country won't know what he is singing 
However, I was more just saying he's a global phenom. It would be like saying you don't know who Rafa Nadal is. Even if you don't know much about him, he is kind of a big deal Anchorman style
