Not for any skill position, that's for sure...only the fatsos with their knee braces in the trenches.
I remember when Marcus Allen didn't wear them in the 80s because he said they were wort and he ran faster without the. League fined him or something, idk. So then he went to short pants to wear those thin knee pads on his thighs.

how is this not an equipment violation?
knee pads are a requirement, so he should have been immediately sent off the field and not allowed to return until he was in compliance

Same.
The t-shirt thing doesn't bother as bad, but it just looks sloppy especially since it seems like it's mostly the big guys in the trenches.
I mean some/most of those guys are big and "fat" already, they don't need to make themselves look sloppier.
