Brandel is awesome

Miller, but Chamblee isn't far behind.

Chamblee was a marginal Tour player. To call him a marginal analyst would be paying him a compliment.

Chamblee is terrible. He was a hack but acts like he shot 63 on sunday at the US open. At least Johnny Miller was dominant even if it was for a relatively short time. But Ryno will be here soon to wax poetic on chamblee's greatness. The only shred of credibility Chamblee has relates to his hatred of Foley which was warranted.
Mediocre douche is mediocre.

Ryno changed my mind about old Bramble.
He's the most fundamentally sound announcer in golf today, and if you're talkin about the fundamentals of journalism, which you aren't but I am now, then that conversation has to include names like Lanny Wadkins, Johnny Miller, and last but not least, Bramble Chamblis, who topped the list of announcers to draw fire for incendiary comments regarding Tiger Wood's ethics and integrity last year during multiple early withdrawals from tour events.
Also, Rich Lerner can choke on a bag of dick.

He did. The good news is he played better on the back 9.

Chamblee would dominate the champions tour right now. He came in top 100 money leader from late 90's to low 2000's. Gave it up too soon. He may be the best commentator in golf.

none of those guys (faldo, miller, chamblee) are horrible announcers/analysts ... honestly don't see why people bitch about miller ... maybe he gets a little teary eyed during the us open thinking about his 63 and win, but other than that, he's a former pro golfer who knows a helluva lot about the game, as does faldo ... chamblee's a little full of himself from time to time, but he's very astute in his analysis of how to tackle a golf course ...
verne's an idiot no matter what he's doing ...

The answer is Rich Lerner.

In a 25 year career, he really lit it up. Here's his finish in the 6 years he finished in the Top 100 on the money list:
1995 86th
1996 94th
1997 70th
1998 37th
1999 99th
2001 92nd
Finchem's got a spot reserved for him in the HOF.
