And yet, USC went 7-1 in BCS Bowls under Carroll with their only loss being a last second one due to a superhuman effort by VY in the Rose Bowl.

SC had a better offensive line than LSU, but yeah, burrow was better than leinart and the lsu receiving corps is goat level.
The one thing that's impressive about 05 USC, is they had a dominant offense relying on a vanilla pro style scheme, when most of college football had already moved to spread concepts
