Side note: The number of fans for TCU showing up pales in comparison to what I saw with Texas, Bama and Wisconsin. Maybe they're getting in today, but I think the Rose Bowl will be mostly a sea of red.
The split on the tickets is different for the NC Game than it is for the Rose Bowl.
For the Rose Bowl - Usually the Pac-10 team is given the greater share, but they flipped it this year so the Non-AQ got what the Big-10 would usually get. Wisconsin was alloted 30,000 tickets to sell through their university ticket office (roughly 10,000 more tickets than TCU was given).
TCU sold out its 20,000 in about 2.5 days and was given another allotment of an undisclosed amount (but likely in the 2,500-3,500 range).
Most of the TCU fans I know left today (if driving) while those flying are leaving tomorrow and Thursday morning. I imagine Wisconsin fans are more eager to get to an improved climate, but don't worry... TCU faithful will be there in droves.

a solid defense does not give up 23 points to NW or Minnesota, or 20 to Indiana, or 14 to SJSU.

I think TCU might have been better off playing Ohio State. Wisconsin has a young, hungry coach looking to make a name for himself and their program. They have been very good lately, but still somewhat unrespected. Especially nationally. Despite rolling up 70, 80 points a game sometimes. I'm not even convinced they aren't the best team in America right now. And their run it down your throat offense is the kind that might make TCU's lack of depth apparent by the 4th quarter.
I think Wisconsin rolls. If TCU wins, I'll be very, very impressed.

TOP was signifigantly in favor of Wisc in all of those games. And when you are scoring TD's the oppoents have to start drives with bad field position unless your KO team dant cover.
Your excuse dosent hold water.

Prepare to get flamed on in the morning by Dukke.
It will probably go something like this,
"you DUMB punk don't know nothing about real football. Get the he'll out of MY thread LOSER"
He likes to use the caps to really scare you away

I'll steal his prune juice and watch him suffer with constipation.
