I bought some soccer starting lineup figures yesterday. I have Freddie Adu in mid flop and Kobi Jones rolling around in fake pain on the ground with the water boy coming out to put the sponge on him to heal his torn ACL miraculously in 1 minute.

Kige would probably be a better commentator than the bastards ESPN got to host the game on Wedsneday.

did baseball finally get the american blacks it has been trying to attract for years?
nope, actually, cricket and lacrosse were the top 2 fastest growing sports for American youths in 2008, a lot of that has to do with the fact that almost no one previously played these sports in most of the country, but an interesting fact none the less since soccer has been the fastest growing youth sport for so long

can you recommend something a little more anglo for me?

Irish or Welsh would be ideal.

I say football for both, but it still iritates me about the lack of recognizing names, but I mainly just say football (for soccer) around others who know what I mean

I can talk about alan smith and when he got a bloody head in a football match, my friends will know who I'm talking about because they know that when alan smith played for united the dude played hard and once busted open his head...I want to say against lpool or Newcastle, but others around me may think I'm talking about an American football player, and sometimes I just pronounce futbol, but I also hate Mexico when it comes to soccer so that's usually painful

and although I'm not 3520, I say nakamura

I wanted to test his Liverpool allegiance. Nakamura owns. Kuyt just sweats a lot.

Jealous? No. But with LSUDad and now you winning, the award is completely watered down.

don't mock the magic spray man, never ever mock the magic spray, the magic spray does not like it

I'd say get a united jersey, but just wait till they get a new sponsor, should be in the summer, I'm tired of people coming up to me when I wear my kits and laughing saying "oh AIG that's funny haha I'm a jackass that doesn't see the badge on your chest"

but I like wales NT kits and there's always England and Ireland, if you want club I say Manchester united or Celtic (no rangers)
