Here is the thing. Jordan did things that most people had never seen before. So everyone who had the opportunity to see it will always have him as the goat. When you package that with rings it adds up.
What LeBron is doing is just as impressive, but unfortunately for him, Jordan was the first of his kind. Some will say he wasn't, but really think about all the acrobatic shite he was doing in the air, it was crazy at that time. Jordan was bigger than basketball. The movies, the videos, the massive shoe deal, all of that. LeBron may very well be the goat but the argument won't ever be settled.

This is basically the Jimi Hendrix vs. Prince argument analogy: Jimi did things the world had never seen before and was exceptionally talented, Prince was as talented if not more talented as the predecessor and did some additional things we never saw in that process.
