It absolutely should be, Michigan St, they would only have 2 losses. Including victories over Ohio St and Penn St.

some of you are so foolish.. Wisconsin is 100% in if they win out. Literally no discussion. Leaving out an undefeated Big Ten champ would be setting a bad precedent

I could just as easily argue it would be setting a good precedent.

They sent a message that they don't believe Wisconsin will finish undedeated. Not that they would be automatically left out.

You don't think there's a chance the committee could break that room with 12-1 Alabama over 13-0 Wisconsin? Or 12-1 Oklahoma?

If Wisconsin is at 13-0, they're getting a spot.

I don't think it matters, because I don't think they'll be 13-0.

Here's the thing, if Ohio St had the same schedule as Wisconsin, and same record. Guarantee 100% they would be in without a doubt. You don't see anything wrong with that?

rewarding this:

BYU
Utah State
Fla Atlantic

is the worst precedent possible

That had a lot to do with the Big 12 and their shitty "one true champion" bullshite, though.
That's right. Baylor and TCU both finished with one loss in 2014, but Baylor won head-to-head. Instead of declaring Baylor the champs, they called them "co-champs" since TCU was ranked higher, hoping this would propel them into the playoff. Thus they have the conference championship game now between the teams with the two best records.

Right.

I'm not singling out the Big Ten as a conference. Obviously an undefeated Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan State, Michigan, Iowa, etc. are all in with their schedules this season.

The Big Ten is fine. It's about Wisconsin.

If that's the case, then Bama is getting rewarded for Fresno St, Mercer,Colorado St, and a Flprdia st team that likely won't even be bowl eligible.

Out of conference games are not what matters. What matters most is your conference games. You get rewarded for winning your conference. Not for who played the toughest teams out of conference.

Yet, some are discussing rewarding this:

Fresno State
Colorado State
Mercer

This team would also have a loss.

FSU is a P5 team...and on top of that, one of the best P5 teams in the last decade.

Wisconsin didnt even try with their scheduling

Wisconsin plays the same number of P5 teams as Bama. They also play one less FCS team.

College football is ruined because conference games should be more important than out of conference games?

We're gonna look back and laugh at this thread whenever Wisky loses to PJ Fleck

Look, I don't doubt at all that Wisconsin will lose. They aren't that good. But if they continue to get it done on the football field, they should be rewarded for that.

It would improve college football if the Committee left Wisky out.

And everyone was upset.

And issued a reasoning like the March Madness Committee...we are going to reward teams that schedule tough opponents and punish teams that have cupcake schedules.

I think Wisky could take one for the good of CFB.
