to Aldo? All of the schit talking and mean-mugging...what happens if Aldo works him?

Well Sonnen got like 3-4 straight title matches that he all lost....but his talking got him more title matches
It's a pretty good strategy for McGregor either way.

Aldo has not lost in the WEC or the UFC. He has arguably the most effective leg kicks in MMA. He is lightening quick.
I just don't understand why people assume that Conor walks through him. Which leads me to my OP...talking smack is great when you win - it makes you look foolish when you lose.
Conor has never fought anyone of the caliber of Aldo, and I am not sure he is quite ready for him.

Sonnen is a character. McGregor is an a-hole. There's a difference.

He was on a radio show I listen to recently and went on a rant about how men should wear nice suits. his accent was cracking me up, "A TREE PEACE SUIT IS ALL ANY MAN SHOULD EVA WEA!"

Chael backed it up when he talked. He dominated Silva for 4 1/2 rounds in the first fight and got caught with triangle at end.
2nd fight he was dominating again until he slipped down
the revisioned history that Silva just smoked Sonnen shows who watched and didn't watch those fights.
that was always sonnens problem though...he would always have a let up at the wrong moment. When he was sticking to his game plan he was a great fighter.
When Sonnen wasn't talking shite you knew he was in trouble. When he wasn't talking he was already beat...i.e. JOnes and Evans

I love heel gimmicks in the UFC..I lvoe talkers who have to back it up. Its why i'm a sonnen fan. McGregor seeing Sonnen retiring knew the UFC needed another talker and he took full advantage.
My only problem with him is that he is stealing straight from the WWE for his gimmick. The WWE for last month has been on a people stealing the title from the champion at random times storyline....I'm on to you Mc
