Judge also ordered the parties to attend a settlement conference, and that is when the bubble is going to burst for people still hoping for the walls to come crashing down on usc
So working on a settlement to pay back the agent that paid you while you played college football makes it all okay. Got it! $C breaks the rules and should receive the death penalty on its football program but they get to keep all these records sealed.

Who said it was okay? WHo said Bush did what Lake said he did? Who said felon Lake is lying or not lying? We don't know. It's not SC keeping records sealed. It is Bush vs. Lake. I am sure SC wants it sealed, whether Bush is guilty or not. Any team, including LSU would want the same.

bush paid him off and made him sign a non-disclosure agreement
the NCAA's hands are tied
the NCAA's hands are tied

It looks like Shep Cooper & Christopher Strobel of the NCAA Committe on Infractions must have gotten a cut from $C not to put the trojans on probation.
they can't prove anything
that's the problem

how many parties has reggie already settled with while forcing them to sign a NDS?

and why would reggie want to keep these records sealed?

obviously, but other teams have gotten hit hard for situations where money changed hands
now THIS situation is lighter in that it wasn't a USC booster who paid off bush, therefore at worst the real debate is the eligibility of reggie bush (and not punishing USC), but there is FAR too much smoke for anyone to believe Bush took $0

that figures. i have a friend whos mother works at destrehan high where mcnight came from and she says he took money from usc to commit.
Not much credibility here since you don't even have the correct high school. But don't let the facts get in the way of a good baseless rant.

Neither SC, nor its boosters, paid R. Bush. Not saying there shouldn't be some punishment here, but your hate of all things SC has clouded your perspective.

1?

Don't know. It is standard procedure in any settlement

Only where it was proven to have changed hands though.

The NCAA doesn't have to prove anything.
They never proved that Lester Earl received money, only his word, which he has now said he lied about because of pressure from the NCAA to do so.

The fact that his parents were living in a house and moved out should have sealed this for $C. Of course you make excuses for the dirtiest program in the country.

that's proof. there is evidence to use to establish a likely set of events
there is no evidence for bush. the NCAA can't get the evidence it needs

Hiding records is evidence enough for the NCAA. They've put teams on probation in the past for much less because they weren't cooperating. $C is behind Bush having those records sealed so $C is not cooperating.

I am not making excuses for anyone. Where did I do that.
Lots of folks move out of houses and skip rent. That does not = USC breaking the rules. The NCAA needs much more. That's all I am saying

it's not USC, it's bush. BUSH is hiding evidence
that's the whole problem. USC (or their boosters) aren't involved with this situation
when earl got cash, it was from a booster. when rhomar got paid, it was by a booster.

That is what you think and it may or may not be true. The NCAA is prolly a little less biased and is not going to go on a hunch.

Yeah, right. Just like $C wasn't involved in fixing the rape allegations on dirty Sanchez either.

agent giving money is not close to USC/boosters giving money
agent giving money = loss of eligibility for the player and forfeiture of games
agent giving money = loss of eligibility for the player and forfeiture of games

Do you realize Bama was put on probation in the 90's for Langham taking very little money from an agent and paying him back, before he played the next fall. Bush received a helluva lot more and it's being sealed. $C gets away with it just like ND did with their violations because the NCAA is a corrupt, mafia type organization that has its darling programs such as $C and ND.
