What an 8 Team Playoff would look like using 11/26 CFP Ranking

Obviously, the final Top 8 in 2 weeks will look different than this Top 8, but even just using just this week’s ranking, who wouldn't love to see this playoff bracket?
More teams get a chance to have to win it on the field, not in the committee room, and that’s a plus to me.
There are some great match ups here right now, and even though changes will happen, this week's 8 team bracket is still an improvement over the 4 team bracket.
Having the 1st round games at the home stadiums of the Top 4 is a big reward for making the Top 4.

Agreed, plus there would be less of the intrigue now with who makes the cut vs. who doesn't.
Most of the deserving teams make it, and prove they're the best on the field.

LSU- Auburn is a repeat, but most of the rest are matchups that are fresh and different:
Bama Wisconsin
Michigan Georgia
Penn State Oklahoma
Oregon Clemson
Have any of those teams even played each other before?
An even though Notre Dame and Ohio State have played before, it's still a rare meeting.

I think it should be an 11-12 team playoff. With the HUGE exception that it ends up being the 8 team playoff you see now. Starting this weekend, the G5 conferences has its OWN tourney, ending with the G5 winner getting the 8th seed in this real playoff. That way every conference has a path to a championship, but we don't need to watch a bunch of 50 point wins by seeding them with the big boys.

Not a fan of a bye at all.
The politics behind that would be way worse than whoever gets left out here, IMO.
