This is going to be a great game in my opinion. Two very physical offensive teams that can play good defense. Too close for me to make a pick, being a Lafayette guy I would like to see the Rams pull it out. What does everyone think?

Everyone talks about WM's defense...and they should!!! They are real good! But no one is talking about WM's offense! Paul Turner, Tyler Cain, and Bubba Reeves have not been stopped all year. Just like Acadiana's offense is going to give WM fits, WM's offense is keeping their coaching staff up late nights too! .

It's gonna be a classic!!! I bet it breaks the 5A single game attendance record.

ummmm no.

you need two catholic league teams and an all N.O. 4A final to come close

it may not set the attendance record, but i bet it's one of the top ones after it's done.

laffy is not that far away, and WM travels very well

should be a great game

and the odds of that happening.... FWIW the jesuit st. aug game which holds the record was set way back before the games were on tv... in fact most people didn't even have cable then...

under the superdome classic format - this one could set the record..

as could friday nights session(for friday nights)

catholic league teams don;'t draw like wm

Here we go again...I was blasted last year with my prediction and was called a typical WM douchebag (even by other WM fans)...even though I was pretty much spot on. I'm not a big headed WM fan...I just have a lot of confidence in this team...which is a better team than last year.

If Acadiana can contain turner and keep him in the pocket while at the same time not cough up the ball 2+ times then i like our chances at keeping it close. Keeping the ball out of turners hands is a must, the kid is just straight sick!

Playoffs so far:

Acadiana's 4 playoff opponents had a combined record of 43-3 before playing Acadiana. Acadiana outscored them by an average of 44-8

WM's 4 playoff opponents have a combined record of 34-11 (Wesgate only played 9 reg season games) and have outscored them by an average of 35- 12.

All of acadiana's playoff opponents were shotgun spread/wildcat that averaged 36 points or better. 2 Of the teams were very good at running out of it (although they didn't have a Paul Turner on their team)

WM likes to mix it up with a pass, if its not open then turner tucks it in and runs it himself, usually making people look stupid. Will need to wrap him up or he will break a few long ones fa sho.

Micah Eugene, FWIW, is the real deal. Whether or not he does anything, IDK.... WM has shut down plenty of great RB's and i can see how you would think Micah will be no different. He is very tough to bring down.

Acadiana does pass the ball, they just haven't had too. I wouldn't be surprised if Acadiana catches WM overcommiting to the run/option. Bergeron has a pretty good completion rate. If you forget last game between these two school acadiana passed the ball 10 times. I can see them passing the ball about 15 this game just to keep the rebels honest.

What does WM run on offense? I know about the defense.
