Well, I don't know what to say. In my league, Vincent Jackson and Donald Driver are considered #2 WRs by everyone. The only guy available on waivers this week was Hixson and he was only a one-week deal. You are lucky. Take advantage of these guys before they figure out what's going on.

I hear ya. That is why I posted QB's, RB's and WR's. There were a lot of new names on the waiver wire today. If you get time, list the ones that you would have on your roster (from the last page). I am curious to know. Thanks man

I'm in a 12 team league and i have a makeshift receiving corps as long as Colston is out. This is what I have this week.

Wayne
Breaston
Meachem

Matt Jones

Any suggestions? Start Jones? Any pickups to recommend?

Tough call. I would go with McClain because of Perry's hammmy. Other than that, it is a crap shoot in my opinion.

*are these the 4 that you have now or starters + 1?
**can you list the top 3 or 4 free agents available?
***you need to start 3, correct?

I thought Breaston would be a one-hit wonder. However, I just saw this . . .
quote:

Darren Urban, of AZCardinals.com, reports Arizona Cardinals WR Anquan Boldin (head) had a surgical procedure Thursday, Oct. 2, to repair the fracture in his skull. He will not play in the team's Week 5 game. He may be able to play in the team's Week 6 game.
Now, I'm thinking he'll be at least a two-hit wonder. That said, the Bills are better on D than the Jets, so I look for his 122 yards to trim down a little. With Jags going up against the Steelers, I think I'm leaning away from Jones (plus, I'm hoping that Porter will finally do something!). I like Meachem a lot, but New Orleans has been spreading the ball around an awful lot. You just never know who Brees is going to like this week. If you start two, I'd start Wayne and either Breaston or Meachem. If you start three, I'd start those three and consider Jones a bench warmer.

Yikes! Lucky for you Tennessee's D appears to be softening against the run. I say neither of the guys is going to set the league on fire this week. McClain may have a better shot, but you never know how many of his carries will go to McGahee. I live in Dallas. The talk here is not whether Cincy will score any points, but whether Cincy will ever get a first down. The good thing about Perry is that he's the one horse for that team. Still, I give McClain a reluctant nod.

I would, but my firm refuses to pay me for the time I spend analyzing fantasy football squads. Don't know what's wrong with them. I'll see if I have time later. For now, I've got to actually do a little work.

Who should I go with at Flex this week?

Desean Jackson vs Washington(no Shawn Springs/Jason Taylor)
LeRon McClain vs the Tahtuns tough arse D
or Deuce who I just picked up this week vs the Vikings?

Hell, take a chance with Deuce
that is a tough one though, I am in a similar situation

One for you:
Griese @ Denver or
Orton @ Detroit

I was all but set on Deuce but a few people I've talked to the past few days destroyed my confidence as well as someone on the OT when it came up. I'm really leaning hard towards him though, he was running pretty fricking hard on Sunday.

and that's a tough one, I think Orton will do well against Detroit, but Griese probably still has a chip on his shoulder and he might wig out at Denver. Instincts tell me Orton though.

like you, I was set on Orton, but the more I thought about BG facing the suspect Denver secondary, I was teetering between them.

As far as Deuce, he got like 30 carries last week, which tells me that he is good to go, plus the fact that I usually try not to start a WR as my flex option since they are usually hit or miss, but DeSean would be my 2nd choice. Go with the hoss man! I will do the same, so I can bitch at myself too.

Got time to pick about 4 or 5 receivers for me (out of about 10)? Some interesting names came up on the waiver wire and I am kind of indecisive on who to pick up and who to leave alone.

Yeah it's the matchup, that's the only reason I'm even considering. I feel like the skins are coming off a pretty emotional high and they are a bit thin in the secondary, and the Eagles feel a sense of urgency(even though it's early, but that's just the way it goes in the East) and they have Westbrook back which might open some lanes. I think D-Jax might have one of those "rookie of the year" days......and on the same token the Vikings have been superb against the run and I'm afraid the Saints might go to the air even more so than usual. I'm like 80/20 Deuce right now though fricking decisions!!!!

I hear ya...I was making points for both in my head, and then decided fk it, let's go with the Deuce and see what happens.

Although Min only allows about 72 ypg...Nah, not going to talk myself out of it

QB's

Def hold on to Orton, at least for this week.

Then toss a coin between Garrard and Griese....but then again, I think I'd wait a few weeks before dropping Carson Palmer. He might get in a rhythm soon but

quote:

RB's

Def keep Michael Turner and I guess Deuce.

I have been riding with Sproles for 2 weeks now and he's been one of my higher scorers but we also get return yds......I think LT is gonna go down any minute too fwiw(just a feeling I have).
And I think Maroney is gonna start being money, I went to pick him up this week but someone already had him.

quote:

WR's

Matt Jones and D Driver look pretty nice, DD is always consistent and Matt Jones seems to be the go to guy in Jax right now and I think he'll score some TD's in the next few weeks.

then I'd keep all 4 of your current Receivers.

If someone had a gun to my head on Sunday at 11:45am

QB:
Orton
Griese
Palmer(just in case)

RB
Michael Turner
Maroney
Deuce
Sproles(depending on return yds)
if returns don't count go with Pittman for TD potential

WR

Roddy White
Lance Moore
Andre Johnson
Jericho Cotchery

Donal Driver
Matt Jones

ETA: My decision making process sucks
