So, for those of us that are terrible at golf and ballin' on a budget, what cheap balls to you golf gods suggest? This weekend I was playing pinnacles as good as the bridgestone e6 I normally play, and just can't stomach throwing away $2 per ball until those balls can last me at least 9 holes on the reg. TIA

No I'm Scotch/Irish/English. What does that have to do with golf?

We're leaving early next Sat am, gonna try to check in, hit a round of golf, then watch TCU get rolled

I don't know how ya'll can play with a ball for that long. After 5-6 holes mine has scuff or groove marks on it.

I can't do it tomorrow. FYI Blackhorse usually has a 1:50 Hot Deal on Golfnow and with that BOGO coupon code you can usually get it for <$25/person and that course is one of if not the best I have played in houston.

Humid air allows a golf ball to travel further...

thats seems counter-intuitive. Can we get some science behind that claim?

ETA: here it be

quote:

At the same temperature, the ball travels farther at higher humidity (85% in your example). The difference between 85% and 20% at 85 degrees is only about 1.3 yards for a drive the carries 256 yards (long hitter). The reason for this is the fact that at higher humidity, there is a greater proportion of water vapour. Water vapour is less dense than the major gases in the atmosphere (Nitrogen, Oxygen) and therefore the air is less dense. Less dense air offers less drag and less lift, the combination which results in slightly more distance.

so it is true, but most likely negligible

Assuming all things are constant (altitude, swing speed, ball, etc.) humid air is lighter than dryer air.
