I currently play mp33's and I hit them great, but I will be switching to my AP2's as soon as I stop being lazy and ship them back to get cut back to standard. They were accidentally measured to +1/2" and they are just sitting in the box right now.

The only reason I'm switching to cavity back is because I play once a week at most right now. When I played 6-7 rounds a week the blades were the clubs for me IMO

These are pretty. Are the short irons these type of blades?

Love my ap2's. I sold a set of mizuno mp54's and ap1's to get them. Play more like a blade but more forgiving and longer.

Anyone play the MP64's?

If I were to get blades this is probably what I would get. Not sure I could handle the MP4's. I would need at least some forgiveness.

I have the Nike blade set before those.

They're some badass irons.

Was there a learning process with hitting blades?

Nope

The 2014 pro combos are all CB

There is a MB set though, but there are no mixed sets

there is a learning process to blades. I wanted the APs just because they look bigger to me when I address the ball. Really for me it's just a mental thing

I do. Love them.

I preferred the feel of them over my friends MP-4s. But I am way more used to my irons.

The 64s are forgiving but they will still force you to improve your ball striking.

Gone from a 12 to an 8.5 since I got them. Definitely not just because of the irons but they helped for sure. Plenty of workability in them. And you can really step on them and get some nice distance.

i believe that anyone can hit a blade....but not many people can hit a blade consistently enough to have any business playing them

liking the feel and feedback of a shot over hitting a good shot just doesnt seem like having the right priorities IMO

Slow back swing.
Don't hit it hard.
Wounded dove the hell out of it.
Watch impact.
Stay down on it.
Think of the follow through.
Bunch of other things.

I wouldn't break 100 if I hit those mp-4s.

I'll bring them back out Sunday.
With my drive, and power of the tee, irons don't matter much.

That putter though.
