They wanted us to open our stance. Close the face down to 45 degrees. Hit just inside of back foot with a wide swing. Create a low two hop and stop shot. It works but takes a bunch of practice. Pro said it took Dufner a long time to master. Hit some sand and chip shots. Could have been a bit better. Still a good day.

Bama, It seemed like they had lots of young guys (interns maybe) out there. The place is in the sticks!

I have been working on that shot. I love it. It does take some time. I think I am partial to it because I play with a closed club face from driver to wedge.

Hit a great one with beHop the other day off some hard pan.

I HAVE to step up my bunker play.

Yep, a good buddy of mine from MSU is there. Buzzed, blonde hair. We send a lot of interns there. Their super is a great guy.

They had to make it a destination golf course, or they would go under. I've heard the same thing. Not shite around it. Just tons of land owned my Pursell Farms.

They have a turf management thing going on out there also. You might want to check that out.

They have wedge classes? Man I'm missing out on making some money.

Yeah. A short course for turf or something. Lotta assistant supers will go to that I think.

Did you notice all the different varieties of grass?

No, I didn't. Everything was cut perfect except the greens. I think the fairways and roughs were better than TPC for the Zurich. Guys were out there watering the greens in the afternoon. They really take care of things. Chilled apples on 1 and 10.

Par on 18. Bad drive with 3w but had to lay up. Grinder a par. 43 36 for 79. The 60 footer for birdie on 14 helped.

Syringing the bentgrass greens.

They have 28 different varieties and work as a "demonstration golf course".

I've heard nothing but praise for the course and what they do. Like I said, the super is a super nice guy. Him and the super from CC of BHam took all of us out to dinner who went to the Golf Industry Show in Orlando this year. I sat next to both of those guys (their assts. were with us too), and got to chat with them for a good 2 hours about the industry and turf over some Bonefish Grill. It was a good time.

I'll text my friend and tell him what ya said. He (and the super) will love hearing that.

I got the most possible out of that round. Drove it great on the front but hit bad irons. Drove it on on the back but scrambled well.

From that picture this morning of donuts, the Summer of Stash was successful as well.

NC, my friend said that the hot late May/June caught them off guard and had some water management issues after aerification and loss some turf. He said it sucks because the greens were there too. Just a couple of 90 degrees days will wreak havoc on a bent green in the south. Especially if it's trying to recover from punching.
