But isn't their money just our money. That takes away from the green fee funds I've got.

More courses are opening up their tee sheet to junior and ladies times. We have a tee time Friday Saturday Sunday right now from 2-2:30 for just juniors. We are beginning a ladies golf league other than our lga for beginners. 3 holes and 6 holes.
Women buy. Parents buy. Men don't really buy.

somebody school me on driver shafts, i don't know shite about them
After years of practice I've finally figured out how to hit a driver consistently
my average drives are around 240-250 with the occasional 260-270
I'm currently hitting the Titleist 913 with the blue shaft (Diamana S+ 62)
Would i benefit from upgrading to a "premium" shaft rather than the stock shaft from titleist?

The diamana is not a bad shaft
Titleist stock shafts are typically real deal shafts
It's just a matter of whether or not it fits you right
You really need to know your swing speed, spin, and launch angle to know what distance you're capable of

Beard, I know it isn't optimal but if I brought my driver to Dicks, hit it on their monitor, and then tried some different setups, would I get a decent idea of if I need to change my shaft?

913 is the first time titleist used "premium" shafts. the S+ is the same shaft they charge $320 for if purchased alone. I will say that the S+,D+ has been the least impressive offering from diamana in a long time.

personal opinion is that you could learn more from observing your shots on a range. The "monitors" at Dicks, Watts, golfsmith are such crap not worth the time.

That's what I figured anyway. I can never hit off a mat either. I push off too hard and my right foot always flies backwards

just observe your shots. Look for odd ball flights. Watch for shots that start lower then jump up. Watch for shots the seems to hit a wall and just fall out of the sky.
