Whatever Amount your comfortable with its all good.

I bet 4400 to win 4k on Bama but lost 1k on Miami OH so Im up a little to start the season.

I dont really like any bets this weekend other than this parlay and I have 1100 to win 1k on the Titans +6.5

Superbowl loser is 1-11-1 ATS first week.

I have ridden this play for the past 5yrs. Including KC's +11 vs Pats (when Brady went down)

It started at 6.5 and the sharps played this down to 5.5

Once the Public starts hitting the Counters in about 24hrs in Vegas it should climb. I hope to see it close to 7.

Pats Oline isnt great and I see Brady getting hit often.

The Books need this game to survive this is my only concern

I love KC this weekend. And I will be watching the spread on that one too. +3 (-120) right now

Superbowl winners have also won their opening games for the past 14 years to but not this year. So maybe its time for the loser to cover

I'm a nit picker at these stats. Super Bowl winner is stellar against the spread week 1....Giants didn't cover, let alone win. Trends have to stop eventually and if it's going to stop with anyone, it's gonna be Brady and the Pats.

Last superbowl loser to beat the spread in week 1........Patriots

Obviously you're more experienced than myself, but like I said, I'm a nit picker of statistics such as these.

That aside, what are your thoughts on the Saints/Skins game?

I could be doomed then.

an old bookie once told me to always take 2.5 + 6.5 and to lay 3.5 and 7.5

My guess is he believed in the power of 7 and 3 in spreads.

Key numbers

My Official Week 1 NFL card (as of now)

1 unit - Philly (-9.5)
5 units - Patriots (-5.5)
2.5 units - Patriots (-7)
2.5 units - Saints (-8.5)

6 Point Teaser ($11.50 to win $10.00):
Saints (-2.5)
Detroit (-3)

5 Teamer Parlay ($7.50 to win $178.76)
Saints (-7)
Patriots (-5)
Georgia (-2)
Nebraska (-5.5)
Okie State (-10.5)

I will be watching the Saints and Eagles lines to see if they drop at all. If so, I may put a few more units on those games.

taking 3.5 and 7.5 is the suckers bet he said. Oddsmakers baiting you to take that extra half.

taking the 2.5 (like all the sharps are doing as we speak with the Jets) and 6.5 cause public or "squares" think the fav will cover by the half.

Its just mind games.

84% of the public is on New England and the line is moving down thats another reason to like the Titans this weekend

I think I was just confused on the terminology and your bookie wants your money, not for you to make money

Keep taking 7.5.

Thats exactly what they want a "square" to take.

If NE is (-7.5), he's saying don't take it, implying that Vegas is goading people into writing off that half a point as covered.

If NE is (-6.5), he's saying take it, as a touchdown covers.

Granted, that's how I understood it.

Yea i get it. But are we talking opening line or no? The saints opened at 11 but now are 7.5. So who to take?

Interesting question. I don't know the general rules for buying half points.

But most of the time i really dont take or not take a bet bc of a .5 of a point. I usually like to look at games before the line comes out and try to pick who i like for that reason.

But after having this convo id like to know what percent games that are like 6.5 and 7.5 the half point make a difference

Cause most of the time if i take a favorite ill give 7.5 cause i think the fav will beat the shite out of the other team. (aka saints)
