I wish I could get more into live-betting, I've never been too good with it (aside from the Super Bowl).

If I were patient enough, I would ONLY live bet. And it'd be profitable.
Just gotta know that the oddsmakers are still playing to the public. Dukes down 7 and still laying points. They know Joe publics will bite on that thinking "Well they won't cover -11, but I know they'll cover -3. They're Duke!"

I have never had any success in it.
Maybe you should start posting those on a consistent basis and we'll start tailing them too!

I have to put a lot of work into my picks. when I rush them in live-bet situations, the results haven't been pretty

Helluva night Mac..do you have a system for NCAA like u do NBA or do just play your gut?

I look for dogs to be winning outright and still catching points or + money MLs.
Especially underdogs who were anti-public plays.
NBA is harder. I've gotten lucky. I look for a bad team beating a good team by 8+ points still getting + money. Or a good team (SAS tonight) that is down less than 5 to a bad team in the 4th.
And some is just feel. NOLA was CRUSHING the Blazers at home. They were up 18 and the line was -14.5. Right off the bat, they're giving me a 3.5 point cushion on a team that is killing the other.
It's hard to put a lot of it into words. I keep a calculator handy to do some quick math on totals. I grabbed DEN/BKN O224.5 at end of the 3rd. That put the quarter total at 48.5 They were WAY over that in the previous 2 quarters and at 49 in the 1st. I saw value.

Combination of the two. I run numbers but I don't just take them at face-value. If it's an obvious sucker play then I throw it out. If I see something my numbers lean, but is a good spot for a team then I might play it even though my numbers weren't strong.
I'm just trying to find the best way to manage my pick portfolio (NBA/NCAA/1H/full-game/totals, etc) at this point because I think I've got a good way of making selections right now.

Spoke too soon about my live betting. Got a bad feeling about this UNC ML. They kept freezing it when UNC was up or I could have hedged at -125 on Duke.
