I just saw where the WBA has ranked Jake Paul as the #14 Cruiserweight in the world in their latest release of rankings.

This moves the former #14 to #15. Craig Parker, the former #14 is a legit cruiserweight with a 20-0-0 record with all wins coming by KO and he gets pushed back by this fricking pretender who beats old, long retired boxers and washed up MMA fighters. Jake Paul's only loss was to Tommy Fury, Tyson Fury's younger and less talented half brother who is not a great boxer to begin with.

I say let's have Jake Paul and Craig Parker match up to see who really deserves the higher ranking..................

Fwiw, if you support the sport of boxing, hating on Jake Paul is the same as WNBA players hating on CC. He gets more people, who were less inclined, to be interested. Let him tune up old timers. He’s got nothing to prove. He’s a YouTuber who happens to like boxing. He’ll do a better job promoting the sport than anyone else in the game.

What a horrible comparison lol

It was a decent attempt though

Why do we act like other boxers fight top ranked fighters as they climb rankings and build a resume?

I'd have to imagine that Parker has fought guys as bad, if not worse, than some of the old washed up guys Jake beat.

Jake just gets to make money as he makes that climb while the "legit" boxers have to wait for that chance.

Also, not claiming Jake is a legit good boxer, but have no problem with him being ranked. Promotion is a part of boxing and any ranked fighter vs Jake would sell and get eyeballs on the sport.

It's up to Jake when he wants to take that risk. I'd have to imagine he tries to avenge the loss to Tommy Fury before taking on any serious fights, though.

You have a point. Can you share some of those other resumes? Not calling you out. I just don’t know enough about boxing to be able to find that info as quick as I’m sure others can.

In Parker's 6th career professional fight, he fought and KO'd Kenneth Gamble:

Career Record: 0-2

Parker's 11th career pro fight:
Octavio Ochoa
Record at time of fight: 2-13 (13 KOs)

Granted, I have no idea how boxing works and how they make pro fighters climb ranks.

Both draw interest that otherwise wouldn’t be possible. Different circumstances for sure, but the end result is people talking about it on a sport’s board. Nobody gives af about boxing or the WNBA. Yet, he we are.

Boxing is a dead sport.

Except CC is actually really good competing against the best players in the league.

JP has been going against boxers that are either well past their prime or getting guys who spent their careers doing MMA to do a one off boxing match. I bet you wouldn’t see Jake agree to fight Nate Diaz or Silva in an octagon.

Hence why I stated JP has nothing to prove. His accolades in boxing aren’t based on merit. He’s still a heel nonetheless. CC is both heel and face, due to her collegiate merit.

This is not in contrast to my point at all. It’s like saying CC should attempt an entirely different sport. Jake will fight washed up MMA fighters who can’t box. And that event will continue to raw more views than most professional boxing matches.

I wasn't prepared to post all 20 fighters that Parker has faced, but here's his first 11 fights. The records of the opponent are to the right.

Here are all of Jake Paul's:

7 of those were basically debit fights.
2 were washed up MMA guys
One was a 70yr old Mike Tyson lol
One was an almost 40yr old washed up boxer
One with a pulse he lost to

I don’t know anything about Parker’s opponents but I’d bet they had a bit better resume.
