Regardless of what you feel about Tiger Woods' off the course issues, this victory is a testament to the resilience of the human spirit.

Great win and a final nail in the coffin of the past. Welcome to the future Tiger Woods!

To be fair... He caused his own decade-long demise. That cannot be forgotten.

This isn't a freak accident or cancer etc. he came back from.

I'm happy he won. Don't know why, but his span was his own purgatory.

By far the biggest reason for his down period is his Navy Seal cosplay. His divorce and that whole issue had a 1-2 year impact. The real issue was in the early and mid-2010s.

Greatest and most important golfer of all time

Pretty sure he didn’t elect to have spinal fusion surgery

His main issue was his back injury. His back was in terrible shape until the most recent operation he had that fused his vertebrae.

Since that surgery he’s been a new man. Had nothing to do with his personal life issues.

Good question. He is still tarnished by his own doing as others have mentioned, but he will be more marketable from now on.

I am curious as to how much of a jump in popularity that the PGA experiences based on this one event.
