Seeing the QB of the future, as what everyone is claiming Lamar Jackson to be, has got me wondering what Vince would do in today’s league. Kyler Murray is also seeing success.

This is what happens when coordinations and coaches accommodate your particular skillset and not have you learn their offense but rather make the QB more comfortable with their game.

Nope. Have you seen Vince throw a football? Weird motion. He couldn’t throw, couldn’t lead, couldn’t understand plays.

ETA: I’m talking about leadership at the pro level. There were lots of stories of him not studying the playbook, showing up late for meetings, and just not being a leader of men who were older than him. 30 year old pro players with mortgages didnt have enjoy his childishness.

Falcons didn't really change their offense to fit Vick's skillset and he was pretty damn good.

I can understand criticism about his throwing motion (which is kinda bullshite) and his lack of intelligence... But couldn’t lead? Good Lord, ban yourself.

Young’s skillset wouldn’t be able to translate. He was bad yesterday, today, and whenever

So your reasoning is: bc they're black they're basically the same QB?

Imo, RG3 could've been something. The problem is he played scared after his injury. He was rushed back and tried to protect it to much.

He was given basically a free job for life at UT as a 'diversity ambassador' or some such ridiculous shite. He SOMEHOW got fired from that for never showing up when they asked him to put in an appearance

I know we talk a lot of shite on here but I'm dead serious when I say VY is borderline retarded

Texas has fired former star quarterback Vince Young from his part-time role as a development officer for poor performance and often being absent from work or not in touch with his supervisors.

The move also comes after Young had a second drunken-driving arrest within three years on Feb. 4.

WTF is suppose to do with him? He had to call the police on his starting QB.

quote:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee Titans called police for help searching for Vince Young because his therapist told coach Jeff Fisher the quarterback mentioned suicide several times before driving away from his home with a gun.

Both Fisher and Young have said what happened Monday night was overblown by the media. But the supplemental report filed Tuesday by Nashville police showed that Fisher was worried what his quarterback might be doing after the call from Young's therapist.

"I asked [Fisher], 'What made her worry about him?'" Lt. Andrea Swisher wrote. "He stated, 'His mood, his emotions, he wants to quit, and he mentioned suicide several times.' He went on to state that [Young] left the house with a gun."
