Vikings rookie WR Jordan Addison was cited just after 3 a.m. today for speed and reckless driving in St. Paul. He was driving 140 MPH in a 55, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

unless you have a police vehicle, there's no reason for any car to be able to exceed +100 mph

I'm sure a big metro area like Minny/St Paul has a speedway to satisfy your need for speed legally. Why people feel the need to treat public roads like their personal own NASCAR track is beyond me.

What's the traffic like on the interstate at 3 AM in St Paul? I've never driven up that way but I do know that in Dallas there's a bunch of cars on the road at all hours of the day and night. Was on the way home from Denver last August and I was just getting through Dallas around 2 or 3 AM and there were still enough cars on the road that I don't even know if it was possible to get up to 140 if I tried.

Nothing good ever comes from being out at 3am and cops know it.

You don't even have to be speeding.

Prepare to be pulled over for an investigative stop predicated on you failed to use your blinkers properly.

That’s as dangerous and deadly as it gets. If I’m a dictator, your arse is going to jail for egregious behavior like that.

You'd spend a weekend in jail minimum for doing that in my county

Basically, if people in charge want this to stop, make it a mandatory 1 year suspension without pay for a reckless driving ticket. It is harder to do in NCAA as there will always be a program that would pickup a player if he was suspended by one team. I guess there could be a rule that if a player is suspended by a team for a legal matter, then he is not allowed to play anywhere for a year?

140mph in an SUV. That's actually kinda embarrassing. At least get some decent wheels to make the front page of the police blotter

Had a Caddy STS up to 140 on 894 in The Cities around 25 years ago.

Outside of downtown 94 is pretty straight so 140 wouldn't be a big deal at 3am. Probably out by Maplewood.
