Well LSU won TWO[2] NC's while USC only won one. A very good team?? YES but not the best. I will take what Miles has done at LSU since he has been here to what PC did the whole time he was at USC.

There ya go. Petey also had the advantadge of coaching in the WEAK pac-10. No WAY those USC teams would have been as good in the SEC. Not with that week-after-week pounding.

That's what happens when you have people unaware of the coaching talent around the country.

Kiffin need to prove he is a better gameday coach. He called a great game against Oregon but he also botched a bunch of game. They had no business losing to Stanford @ Stanford two years ago. They've lost to an inferior UW team twice in his tenure.

He also caught Oregon after a big game with Stanford. If Kiffin wins the Pac this year, then I will give him credit. However, until then the jury is out in my book.

Wolfpack will be outraged that you don't agree with him that Lane Kiffin is unique and extraordinary.

He seems to ignore just how mediocre SC was before PC and how quickly PC turned them into the elite program during his tenure. But I am not surprised with his trolling. As noted, his [rocket's] methods are old and tiring.

They were mediocre but that doesn't mean they were not a sleeping giant, that the tradition was not there and the potential was not there. I'm sorry, but PC was not turning around Kansas State cuz.

My methods are pretty sound for debunking bullshite.

I remember last year there were some USC fans on here complaining about Barkley.

I was just like, "um... fine, we'll take him then."

Lots of SC hate up in here, brah.

Peej, I can understand an argument for LSU or UF being just as good as SC during PC's tenure, but Rocket's notion that Texas and Oklahoma were as good of programs as SC is funny. Also, PC took a mediocre, declining programs and built it into the power Kiff is reigning over today.

im still one of those. I think he's good but he's been vastly overrated lately. He had a nice run at the end of the season but i want to see more consistency from him all year long. I also think the WR's made him look a lot better than he is.

Well to be fair to Texas for all the years PC was at USC Texas won At least 10 games every year. And Mack Brown has won just as many titles as PC. Stoops also has the same amount of NC's as PC. Big game Bob failed alot in those so called big games though.

Just because some people are aware of the parity among programs that has existed in college football over the past decade doesn't mean they have hatred toward USC. Just no particular fondness.

That's a big change from your previous post, which insinuated that USC was head and shoulders above everyone.

Texas actually beat SC once. If SC was the ultimate power, that wouldn't have happened. And OU made more national title games than SC did.

You act as if USC had no tradition before PC got there.

But he maintained a level of success over a significant period of time, despite alot of coaching turnover. The guy has a winning percentage of what....80 percent? That's good. And he's only in his early 50's.
