Scoring 0 points against a 1-2 team when you have 8,000x the talent is inexcusable.

like LSU v UK last year (OSU is much worse than UK, but we lost that game b/c of focus)
UK was the #17 team in the country with a Heisman candidate and a slew of offensive weapons. This is Oregon State.

USC does this all the time
Which proves even more that something needs to be done. I love Pete as a coach, but he needs to cut down on some of the free spirit Cali boy bullshite and get to being a focused program.

I think that's part of the point of this thread. Potential doesn't make a team great...if potential won ball games USC would be undefeated 5 years straight. They can be overrated and still be the best team.

they're scored 14 so far

and they weren't the #17 team. they didn't even finish ranked
and woodson wasn't a Heisman candidate when all was said and done
we had 8000 times the talent. we lost b/c we lost focus

it works in big games

hopefully i remmeber to bump this thread when LSU loses to an inferior team this year

I believe Kent was ranked when we played them

You know I meant halftime.

So then USC's loss to Oregon last year looks bad I guess.

The dude was the most consistent QB in the league for two years. He put up like 70 TDs in two years.

That's true, but that isn't a trend with LSU. We beat the shite out of lower level teams every year, with the exception of last year, which was due to injuries.

Don't get me wrong, Pete is doing fantastic, but the fact that they're losing to the teams they're losing to cannot be ignored and HAS to be attributed the attitude that the coach presents to his players.
SFP, c'mon. This isn't acceptable considering the factors. I'll argue with you about a lot of stuff, but you're wrong here.

What does that have to do with anything I've said. We can be overrated as well.

irrelevant
unless something major happens to change that team

good luck with that

USC has played one game in 3 weeks...they have lost to OSU before so they know this is coming...they are the number 1 team in the country
and they STILL come out flat and without focus
its pretty pathetic. Georgia fell in the BCS for "unimpressive wins" yet i doubt USC does the same (assuming they even do win this game)

if everyone at the top is overrated, then where do you stand? that's the way the top 10 or so is right now other than like penn state or missouri

Is anyone else made nauseous by the pre-season rankings of USC and Slohio State? If the Trogenz lose tonight, will that drop them out of the top 10?
Posted on 9/25/08 at 10:52 pm to SlowFlowPro
the thing that drives me the most crazy is they had an off week before this game and OSU did this to them 2 freaking years ago
they knew that they could lose this game and still came out flat

Both top 15 teams at the time. What the frick does being bad at the end of the season have to do with when you played them. I mentioned their loss to Oregon to counter what you said, but they're a perfect example. Oregon was one of, if not the best teams in the country when they played USC. They sucked without Dixon at the end of the year, but that doesn't win the loss to them was downgraded. That's stupid logic by you.

AU/Ole Miss 2006
Top 10 AU on the road who beat both SEC teams that went to BCS bowls, including national champ UF. Ole Miss was bad, but we won.
quote:
UK/Bama 2007
Both ranked in the top 20 at the time we played them.
UCLA, Stanford, and OSU were all severly outmatched teams. None were ranked, and all three were mediocre at best football teams.
