No one argued this either though.

I'm agreeing with you.

Average temperature on November 24th in Columbus Ohio(the southern most Big Ten School) at noon is 45 degrees.
Rarely?

Yes, rarely. There has only been a handful of snow games each season (or games with terrible conditions) throughout the years.
Plus, when it is 45-50 up there, it is 65-70 down south. How is that much different for a football game? Unless it is raining or snowing, the difference is negligible.

Not true at all. I'm a season ticket holder at Ohio State and there have been cold games every year that I've had my tickets. Columbus is also on the southern side of B1G schools (currently). There's a reason you don't throw the ball in Champaign in late October and November. It's cold, it's usually raining and it's damned windy.

It depends on your definition of rarely, but it's about 25% of the time for Ohio State-Michigan(in Columbus) it's below 40 degrees.
Ann-Arbor its average of 41% so that's a little less than half the time it's under 40. And that's the high, not a noon temperature.
This isn't even dealing with Madison, Champaign, West Layfayette, Iowa City, Minneapolis(new outdoor, on campus stadium), East Lansing, etc.
It's just how football works, line up and play the game.

Ive lived in ohio most of my life mate, im pretty sure I can vouch for the weather while attending football games.
It rarely gets cold during games (one or two a season at most) which puts the cold weather games at less than 10% ===rarely.

Funny, Hendersonshands ran and hid when I pointed out that everyone knows that "motivation" is a huge factor in bowl games.
And I have yet to see anyone debate that just because "both teams had to play on it" means that the game was not altered because of the field. Could those two teams have played on a dry field and arrived at the same outcome, sure. But we don't know because the game that had to be played was nowhere near what we would have seen, from both sides, under normal conditions.

I think only Bloomington is more southern currently.
College Park certainly will be coming up.

as a former student there i have a good idea of the weather conditions
eta: youre acting like games are played on frozen tundras in blizzard like conditions which is simply not true.

OK, and I'm from northeastern Ohio and go to Columbus several times every fall. You are also discounting the away games so the cold weather games are well over 10% factoring that in.
Besides, no one is saying that it's cold every game but there certainly is a greater chance of a cold weather game with high winds in the north than in the south. The point is that IF field conditions dictate play it affects both teams.

his argument was B1G teams would struggle playing down south in "humid" conditions which i disagree with...especially since most midwestern summers these days are absolutely miserably humid.

I was thinking that about 3 pages ago.
And Rocket: I think we pretty much agree on this.

Choupique, you are a dip shite. I can spin it your way...
All B1G teams have a disadvantage playing in bowl games down south because of the heat and humidity. By the end of the game the team that is used to it will come out ahead.
See how fricking stupid you sound?

Was the game affected by the field? Yes or No, simple question.
