Zverev seems to have fixed whatever issues he had with the 2nd serve in the past.

ETA: Tennys looks solid enough to get to a breaker at least.

I'm passing on the Berrettini and Querrey matches. I feel like Querrey is a bit underpriced but we all know he's due for a clunker eventually.

I like Thompson vs. Nishikori. Just have to decide how to play it. I like the +6 handicap and will probably sprinkle some ML too.

Danger time for Tennys serving at 5-5 and 0-30.

And Zverev breaks

Please retire Nishioka (no chance in that culture)

Tennys 3/26 on 1st-serve return points. Hard to see anyone not named Novak troubling Zverev when he's bombing away like this. Update: 3/33 now.

Can't find a vid of the Pete-esque jump smash by Zverev from mid court but it was pretty sick in real time for a 6'6 guy. Found it on ESPN Argentina

I'm usually the one to caution against jumping ahead in the tourney, but a Berrettini/Zverev QF seems inevitable and should be a banger.

Tennys really doesn't like being rushed on the forehand. Not a huge surprise with his grip and swing.

That gigantic Italian ox looks out of sorts early on.

If you like ugly arse tennis, Norrie vs. Bolt is the match for you.

When I looked at the odds for matches today and tomorrow, I didn't see anything I liked other than KK against Tiafoe.

The thing that jumped out at me when I saw Alex live a few years ago was the movement. He really seemed to float around the court and it was crazy to see at that size. He lost to Kohli that day.

Might have to join you on that one. Head-case KK really shouldn't be plus money there. Maybe I'll take him to win the 1st set to avoid a loss on a choke job.

fricksticks at even money vs. Diego is tempting too.

Yet, you dont think its absurd to say "Nadal beats Djok easily right now on clay both playing their best"

Because it is absurd.

On another note, do you think Serena would be better if she lost 30 or 40 pounds?

Uh, yeah. Well...maybe 20 lbs.

Katie Boulter is certainly one to watch. Shame she lost first round.

Fritz gutted out one against Stevie. He seemed to be hobbling at the end, but might have just been fatigue. He has one leg in spandex, it looks funny.

Fritz makes Koepka look like such a fricking pussy

Koepka tried to play the gritty tough guy for playing a golf tournament weeks after knees surgery, while at the same time complaining about crowds bumping his knee

Meanwhile, Fritz is playing fricking tennis weeks after knee surgery without really making a deal of it

Ah, I didn't know that. Good for him. He seems like a decent kid. I want to see him do well. I love Stevie, but his game is so limited.
