Make the argument for UNC over WVU

Easy. Everyone making the argument against UNC just says 2 things 1. quad 1 record 2. The ad conspiracy theory BS

Quad one record is just one metric the committee uses- the Tar Heels compared to WV had more W’s overall while playing a much tougher schedule and they were more competitive in games.
The committee uses 23 different criteria. Of the last 4 in/out the Heels were #1 in 10 of them. The 8 computer rankings the committee uses - Heels were #1 in 7 of them. The gold standard of rankings (kenpom) had the Heels at 33, which would have made them the highest ranked team ever to not be selected. UNC played 10 games against the uber elite- teams that finished with a 1 or 2 seed- and almost all of those games were close. WV got blown out by bad teams.
Lastly the committee puts an emphasis on how teams finish. UNC finished 8-2, if you walk back 10 W’s for them on selection Sunday you get to Jan. 25. Walk back 10 W’s for WV and you are in 2024. WV started 13-4 (when all of the best W’s happened) and finished 6-9.
If you wanted to make a case for a team not being worthy it was Texas - non conference SOS 282 (a power team really has to commit to scheduling cream puffs for that ranking) and 6-12 in conference- but there is no conspiracy narrative with them.

Other than Pitt, what other bad team did WVU get blown out by?
