I mean typically when we beat yall, we aren't ranked and yall are (sometimes top 10). So of course it's exciting when we beat a top 10 team even on a midweek day.

LSU plays for real championships ULL plays for moral victories.

How so?

How did your attendance compare to other teams vs when you hosted LSU?

I believe their attendance is top 30 nationally, not LSU level but more than a few SEC teams.

So, because we havent won a world series, we play only for moral victories?

ULL plays to beat the powerhouse of LSU when they get the chance LSU plays for a bigger goal.

LSU has only moral victories for the past 4 years in baseball, 6 years in football and 100 years in basketball.

Is Mainieri going to be able to just skate by on past accomplishments? I mean with the biggest baseball budget in the country and a brand new huge stadium, he should really be much more successful than he has been.

What's wrong with trying to win a game against a ranked team? That helps our RPI. Besides, how do we approach the game against LSU any differently than any other weekday game?

Believe it or not, those LSU weekday games dont make or break our season.

So when is the cutoff for being ok with moral victories? 5 years? 10 years?

Did Tony make it to the CWS last year?

So is it making it to the CWS that makes it a real victory instead of a moral victory or is it winning the CWS? I'm just trying to follow your offshore logic.

It means waaaaay more than that to a ULL fan. Last season ULL and ULL fans bought up as many tickets possible for the "Lafayette Massacre of 2013" People took off of work or left work early that day for the game. It was all over and talked about on local sports radio 2 weeks prior to the game. It was all over the message boards about how rowdy its going to be. Welllllll, it was like attending a funeral after the 2 second inning. Thank God one of my customers had tickets b/c I wouldn't of been able to see Ragin Cajun fans mope and cry and have the life sucked out of them. All that build up....just to witness a massacre. Awesome.

Nothing at all just saying LSU won't pitch a SEC weekend starter against ULL while ULL will likely pitch theirs.

Example of us starting a weekend starter on a weekday game against LSU?

Piecing together Kody Smith, Matt Plitt, Cord Cockrell and Ben Carter = pitching a weekend starter.

I don't work offshore bro. You are a moron thinking LSU cares about beating ULL as much as ULL cares about beating LSU. I work with alot of ULL alum and it was like a conference champ game last year. How did that turn out? LSU might not win it every years but they have a chance ULL not so much.
