Forgot Topuria.
Really should be Topuria vs Tsarukyan with winner fighting Islam.
Loser fights Gaethje if Holloway loses. Loser fights Holloway if he beats Poirier. IMO
Or Topuria vs Islam and Tsarukyan with #1 contender.

As much as I’d love to see a Topuria, Oliviera, etc - Holloway makes more sense.
With that matchup, he is done win or lose. If he ends up beating one of those guys, he’s just eliminating a contender

There were SO many Louisiana fighters on last weekend's card it was crazy. And all except one won their fights too. Should be super easy to put together a card to support Poirier in NOLA.

I guess this is off-topic, but this made me laugh:
What's not to like about Topuria? Cool guy, kind of suave. Exciting fighting style. Fun persona, Spanish, the matador and the roses. Able to back up his KO promises. Off-the-charts aura. Beautiful wife.

It’s possible. I don’t think Topuria deserves an immediate shot at the P4P #1, but it’s a big fight.

Volk got an immediate fight, Topuria beat Volk, Topuria vs Islam is the fight people are talking about and wanting to see.

It’s a mega fight. The problem is that Islam would be risking the LW title and #1 P4P ranking and if he wins, he’s not going to get credit for it.
Personally, I would do Islam vs Armen(based on merit) and Ilia vs Olivera. Can you imagine if Islam wins and Ilia KOs Charles? Islam vs Ilia goes from a mega fight to a super mega fight.

Personally I think Topuria starches Olivera. And Topuria is going to eventually fight other LWs not named Islam anyways. Why not start him with one?

Islam vs Oliviera is still a big fight too. Topuria isn’t going anywhere so that fight will still be there
Problem with all these scenarios is Oliviera & Islam have both said they aren’t interested in fighting Topuria. Of course the right amount of money could change their mind

Does nobody care that Topuria already has a KO at lightweight? Topuria at lightweight vs. Jai Herbert doesn't count for anything?

I like armen vs islam, gaethje vs charles 2, and poirier vs topuria. I could live with any combo of islam vs charles/armen/gaethje with the remaining two fighting each other. I also like the opportunity of the old dog being able to take out the young dog with ilia and poirier.

I don't think we get ilia vs Poirier. If anything you just make Charles vs Islam 2 to save time and have Armen vs Topuria for #1 contender. You still get 2 fights everyone would be happy with while also confirming the real #1 Contender.
