Colby vs masvidal was another.
But Colby did get a title shot his next fight. No one on this card fighting for a title anytime soon.

fans are better off spending their money on getting a hotel room somewhere downtown, attending all of the free pre-fight events (press conference, weigh in show, etc.).
On that note, anyone been to any of these? What are they like?
Edited to correct the quote.

Long, lots of downtime, fun atmosphere that you'll be glad to see, but one of those sporting events that you'll learn is better just to stay home for.

It’s like any other sporting event…. If the card is good and the crowd is into it then it’s a great time. On the flip of the fights are boring it doesn’t take long for the crowd to start booing

I mean the ceremonial weigh in and pre-fight conference.
(Edited my previous response because I quoted the wrong statement.)

Some are fun and some are boring. I expect max and Dustin to be respectful and it wouldn’t surprise me if they have a very small crowd of fighters up there… so this one probably won’t be that good. I don’t think the ceremonial weigh in is worth it unless you have a megastar like Conor.

Flying in for both Power Slap and the UFC fight, excited to visit NOLA for the first time in 9 years.

These are all free? What else do they have?

That's not the official weigh-in?

From my understanding, those are done a bit earlier and not open to the public.

they always have free stuff to attend the week leading up to the PPV.
- Thursday night press conference free
- Friday evening ceremonial weigh-in's free
and they usually have fighter appearances/signings at random businesses in town, you just have to follow on social media to see what's scheduled.

Outside of the main and the Costa unpredictability, that card is shite.
I could go the rest of my days and never see another Bobby Green or Kevin Holland fight and I wouldn't miss a damn thing. They're the same guy. Solid veteran mid-carder who have zero shot at ever even sniffing a title.

pretty wild seeing a main card with nobody even close to a title shot. I guess max if he wins this fight could go back down and try and fight at 145 again... but nobody on this main card is even close to a title shot.
and get ready because costa will pull out and brendan allen will be back at co main haha

Charging fans $400-500+ just get in the door for that card is insane. I guess Dana did this as a favor to Dustin, so he was damn sure going to exploit it because he knew the building would be filled no matter what.

Glad the UFC finally confirmed the Holland fight. I feel a little better about the card now. Holland has been banging as of late.
Those tickets were originally around $300 to start. We can thank scalpers/Ticketmaster for inflating them from there. Even still, if you're within driving distance of NOLA, you're skipping out on airfare, room, etc. and getting a PPV experience with the premiere fight promotion in the world. Not a great card, but it works out relatively speaking.

I hope for the sake of those going that the card ends up being good. I know I have sat thru a few doozies.
