He is funny at times, but he's also trying way too hard to be the heel. Either that or he's the biggest douche on earth. He and Jon Jones should have a douche-off.

I really liked the guy at first, but his ego outpaces his resume. I really hope Aldo whips his arse and turns him into the 3rd Diaz brother.

FIFY. He is going to run thru Aldo, it's gonna be bad.

I guess that makes him a doosh to you.

Because White keeps putting "name" chumps in front of him to build his resume.

Look at any of his UFC fights, it looks like he is fighting children.
Dennis Siver was average when he wasn't old as frick. If you can't see that he has a padded resume, I don't know what to tell you, other than to reign in the fanboyism.

No, acting like a douche makes him a douche. He keeps trying to call out the champ to get a shot that he hasn't earned. It's all very planned PR shite. Leave that shite to the mouth-breathers over at WWE.

Completely unrelated, but about once every couple of weeks I go back and watch the Fedor vs Herring fight. I love the intro completing overlooking Fedor. Before anyone knew how fricking dangerous he was.

Everyone else in the division has fought these same chumps and nobody has dominated them like Conor, not even close.

Siver is average but he was 10-3 in the UFC before Conor and nobody in the division beat him like Conor did.

He has 100% earned the shot. He finished 4 of his 5 UFC fights, the only one he didn't was when he tore his ACL against Holloway and even in that fight he dominated every second. He only speaks the truth and demands what he deserves, that does not make him a douche.

Edgar should've gotten another shot before McGregor.

I like mcgregor but never use cage warriors as a point of reference. those guys are a joke

Another good reason that Lesnar stayed with WWE is because he has sponsors still that he couldn't wear anymore in the UFC with that Reebok deal.

How do you think he will fare against Aldo?

Laughable bullshite.

No, he's likely been a douche since childhood.

I like McGregor. The shite talkers are a positive in the fight game.

He thinks he is going to "run through Aldo." He apparently has the same mancrush on McGregor as someone else has on Jon Jones...

ETA: Misread your post.
It's possible he KOs Aldo, but McGregor leaves his chin open too. Will definitely be an exciting fight.

Has McGregor ever fought a stud wrestler? I've taken a break from MMA for a while and just got caught up on a few of his fights last night.

He is going to kill Aldo. I just rewatched Aldos fight against Chad Mini MEHndes last night and MEHnes knocked the shite out of Aldo all fight, he rocked him a bunch of times. Conor is way bigger than MEHndes, has a way longer reach, is a much better striker, is way better at controlling distance etc. The fact that MEHndes could hit Aldo like that is not good news for Aldo against the Celtic Tiger. Mystic Mac is going to hit him at will. Aldo basically became a counter-puncher against MEHndes and against MCgoat that shite won't work because of the reach difference and his ability to control distance. This fight will be decided in the first round for sure, it may not be over by then but it will be clear Aldo will lose by then.
Another thing to consider is the fact that this in the US and all of the new drug testing that has been going on may keep Aldo off of the PEDs. I don't know he is dirty, and it wouldn't matter anyways in this fight, but Brazilian champs have been known for their juicing.
The ONLY chance Aldo has is to take it to the ground, even then I don't know if he has an advantage, where there is a tiny chance he gets lucky and gets a sub. Nobody in the UFC has been able to take Conor down and when he has been on the ground he has always gotten the better of his opponent.
The only guy in that division that has a chance of going 5 rounds with King Conor is Edgar and that is only because you could hit Edgar in the face with a bat 10 times and it wouldn't knock him out.
The Notorious One needs to move up to 155 after he dispatches of Aldo because there he may have some good fights. I would like to see him against a normal Pettis, RDA and Khabib but there is nobody at 145 that will make him break a sweat.
Posted on 3/25/15 at 1:23 pm to boom roasted
He is SSSSOOOOOO good and his size is just too much for anyone in that division, it isn't even fair. At 155 he would have some challenges though for sure.
Posted on 3/25/15 at 1:25 pm to lsu480
He is very good but Aldo ain't no slouch. McGregor had his chin high as giraffe pussy at times in his short fight with Poirier. He might get shook if he tries that shite with Aldo.
Has McGregor faced a stud wrestler yet?
