Koscheck is still a dangerous fighter, and he's still above average, but he has no heart left either. Dude needs to hang them up as well.

Personally I thought he did that bc he was getting gassed. Maia doesn't have the conditioning that other athletes such as rory or jake shields. Not to mention he still is showing some rudimentary striking. With that said it was frustrating to watch that fifth round after those four rounds which were shutouts. I think if he went or decided to go to side mount sooner he would have made la flare tap.

He's basically a modern day helio Gracie. If he had the genetics of gsp he'd be champ if not a top 3 guy. But for being near 40 he's doing a damn good job as a top 10 fighter. Only been ko'ed once by marquardt
