I mean... It's New York. A Muslim mayor was just elected and it's the home of the Russian mob in the US.

Yeah, you're right.

The weight cuts might not be so unhealthy if every guy fought closer to their natural weight.

Morales is fricking massive compared to Brady

Also wellmaker opponent dropped out and he is fighting a guy that is on a 8 fight win streak(outside of the ufc) I think 7 were KO. So two KO artists going at it should be a great fight. The opponent is +600 to win by KO.

I don’t know that jdm was bigger than islam

So many of the fights on this card are such interesting stylistic matchups. Think I'm going with the following:

Islam
Shevchenko
Morales
Leon
BSD

Sucks for Brady because, if not for Islam moving up, he'd likely be fighting JDM for the belt.

It really is. Some great matchmaking on this card.

WW so by far the most stacked division right now.

JDM
Islam
Shavkat
Brady
Morales
Prates
Garry
Belal
Usman
Bonfin
Edwards

Imagine if Ilia moves up and these hungry dogs have to wait in line?

My guess is Ilia would just move up to fight Islam and then vacate if he won. Kind of similar to how Conor went up to fight Nate Diaz just for two fights. Although it would be a bit like, was Ilia really the WW champ if he just won it and vacated without defending?

It's hard to imagine Ilia against some of these other guys. I mean if Sean Brady looks small facing off with Morales, then how much smaller would Ilia look? Ian Garry is 6'3.

Actually if Topuria beats Paddy or Gaethje and then beats Islam, I think he might retire from the UFC altogether. What better way to go out than having achieved triple champ status? Or what else is left after that? Then he might go do boxing.

It just shows how popular Islam look am has gotten over the years. And doesn’t hurt that nyc is pretty diverse.

Fair points. Islam has been the champ for years now too so no surprise he’s worked up a fanbase. There was that one group of fanatics they kept spotlighting that cheered him and booed everything JDM said. Made me wonder if they were Russian agents

Brotha send this guy to Dagestan 2-3 years. And leave flip flop at home.

I think Jack and Zhang win

I also like Rodolfo’s chances in getting a submission on Bo

Islam is hard to bet against.

If JDM vs. Belal was close and Islam just cleans up the mistakes that Belal made, then he should win.

Damn JDM went to +260. I hedged him at +250. Should’ve waited like you said. Could’ve pick up an extra $70.

I agree

If he’s really been training hard grappling with Craig Jones then he’ll have done improved scrambling and transitions
