Tony vs Khabib was supposed to happen since 2015. Between pull outs and freak accidents and Corona, it was cancelled five times.
Tony also came back from a horrific leg injury, so it’s easy to root for him.
Tony could’ve and should’ve sat out and waited for Khabib, but he fought instead.

Tony got screwed because he doesn't get paid $20 million to make some appearance for some sheik in Saudi Arabia like Khabib.
Tony wants to fight and, instead of just calling it all off, took a very dangerous fight with Gaethje.
This whole fight makes me hate Khabib even more now.

Khabib will matches up way better with Gaethje than he did with Tony. Gaethje is a much better wrestler than Connor, bit he's still going to get taken apart from Khabib unless he can take him out in the first round or so.
Khabib has obviously taken lots of inspiration from Mayweather on how to duck a guy who could doesn't match up good with him.

I think Gaethje is a much more difficult matchup for Khabib. Going to be interesting to see if Kahbib can take down Gaethje. So far I dont think anyone has even come close to taking him down

Tony was an interesting match up for Khabib because he’d probably try to work off of his back vs. trying to wall walk and get dragged by down for 25 minutes. He’s also a good wrestler in his own right
Justin is an interesting match up because he could conceivably stuff Khabib’s take downs even though he absolutely refuses to regularly wrestle offensively in mma. Probably has a better chance at doing it now that he’s not fighting completely out of control

The man has to eat. When you turn down the fights the ufc needs you to take you all of a sudden don’t get the next shot. Those two things together means you have to take a unnecessary tough matchup.
