Not disagreeing with you on any of that, I just highly doubt he gets Shadfaced in this one.

And it's kinda crazy how Shields & Hendo's careers have gone since they met. I still will never understand how the welterweight absolutely dominated Hendo like that.....something more to it than simply getting gassed. Shields won his first ufc fight, then he goes 1-2-1 (NC). Hendo has gone 4-1, knocking out the HW GOAT. Even though Shields got the title shot, Hendo would've if he didn't get injured. Now Hendo is headlining the event in which Shields is headlining the undercard. Ok, I'll stop rambling now, but that loss in Strikeforce baffles me....something fishy was going on

Henderson gassed.... End of story.

He absolutely destroyed shields in the first rd, but he blew his load HARD

I don't think that fight is representative of him at 205. He stated that the weight cut killed him for that fight.

How does he gas after only 1 round, then get completely dominated by a little welterweight?? I know it was for the Strikeforce MW belt, but still.....

Then a year later he wins a 5 round war with Shogun. No doubt Hendo gassed in that fifth round, but he won a unanimous decision and didn't get completely gassed after only 1 round. Something happened with that Shields fight.

There was some mma event right after his fight with Shields, and Hendo was in the crowd. The camera was put on him for a couple seconds and it didn't even look like him. His head was completely bloated, it was scary looking. Maybe he took a bad batch of roids/trt/etc before the Shields fight, but something was not right

he was on some kind of medication that made him retain water and his weight cut killed him for that fight. The difference between rd 1 in that fight and the rest of the fight was night and day. He beat the shite out of Shields and rag dolled him every time Shields tried to wrestle in rd 1, then he just laid on his back the last 10 minutes.

His gas tank has never been great. He gassed hard in the middle of the 3rd in that shogun fight.

alright, thanks for the info. Wonder what kind of medication did that, cause his head looked like a damn watermelon. Did Shields do any type of damage in those last 4 rounds? I really don't remember much from that fight

Out of all the injuries the last couple years, this one probably sucks the most. I was really looking forward to that fight

frick. No. You probably don't remember because you fell your arse to sleep. Shields takedown. Mount. Pitter patter. Round end. Repeat.

How awesome would that be if Nelson got a first rd KO in the 1st rd for the 4th time in a row

Shields should move back up to mw, he always looks weaker at ww.
Is anyone watching WSOF tonight? Fitch's first fight since getting cut.

Couple of other names I recognize: obviously Burkman, Volkmann, Beerbohm, Dan Lauzon.
