I think a fight against Anderson would end badly for GSP right now

Good I was hoping he'd win so that he might actually grow some nuts and move up in weight, so that he can lose to silva.

u people are amazing. GSP fought a hell of a fight being blind for 3 rounds. He is one of the greatest ever and he has plenty of balls.

That was a 50-45 or 49-46 fight all the way.

What round did Shields win? Judging was again awful.

GSP would be at a severe disadvantage in that fight. Anderson would have the reach to stay away and do damage at will. Fights are all about match ups and that is just not as good of one as people want to think. GSP might prove me wrong but I don't see him looking for that fight, regardless he is one of the greatest of all time and deserves all the respect in the world.

IDGAF. This was a great card. I blame Shields for this shite main event. He might be as bad as Jon Fitch as far as boring fights.

true, the challenger has to TAKE the belt from the champ. shields just never was agressive enough

agreed I was just left unimpressed with him tonight. He fought a guy who was totally out of his element and really couldn't do much with it. He had a few good shots on shields but he should have been able to finish shields on the feet and take minimal damage from a guy with standup like that.

I did not see him win one at all. Anyone who did was watching a different fight. If GSP doesn't lose sight in one eye and fight handicapped the rest of the way he ends that fight in the 4th or 5th. He was setting him up for the big kick all night and landed it with great effect once. He just couldn't land it safely again.

I don't hate on GSP, I actually like him. But that fight was horrible. GSP should have taken him down and seen if he could beat him on the ground too just for shits and giggles since he never has a challenge.

He is on a completely different level than any other welterweight fighter walking the earth. It's time to go to middleweight

I agree and I think thats why you saw GSP so disappointed halfway through the fight. He knew he could finish it, but was having trouble seeing. I'll give him that one.

GSP's a fricking machine.

One part of the machine broke briefly tonight, and he still performed a hell of a lot more efficiently than the hunk of shite in front of him.

See I just have trouble thinking this, I think he will be giving up reach to much in middleweight. He might surprise me, but I think he would have issues with the elite in that class. That is not a dig on him, just physics lol.

Anyway good talking MMA with you guys, I gotta work in the A.M. off to bed.
