Chael will have a hell of a time beating Anderson with his shitty striking and sub defense. He basically has to win a decision, he doesn't finish anyone and this fight was almost his perfect storm with the early knockdown to get the fight going his way.

my guess is his offense is so busy out of the gnp he probably doesn't see much BBJ offense from a guy on the bottom. Looked just like Filho the first time around.

naw he was clearly rocked with the initial lucky punch and he didn't recover into round 2 when he was already on teh ground
he didn't have good takedown defense after that and got laid on (chael did a good job really pushing the pace on the ground early but slowed as teh fight went on) and hit until the 5th
silva rocked chael a few times intermittently

And how does that 4 and a half round beating matter at all if Chael Sonnen cant avoid a submission? Its Chael Sonnen's fault he lost, and he has a huge weakness in his game.

But Anderson can't stop his takedowns (he was on top and within about a minute in each and every round) and can't get Chael off of him. Anderson pretty much has to KO him within 30 seconds of a given round or land a sub while getting dominated on the ground. I just feel Chael will do more of the same if they fight again. If he were to lose, it would be in similar fashion.

he didn't even attempt to stop the majority of the takedowns, even the weak ones. I don't know what his deal is. there were atleast 2 or 3 where it looked like he just layed down instead of getting out of the way.

I've seen alot of nuttriding about Sonnen's wrestling ability, yet I never saw him advance on the ground. Anderson seemed able to throw him back into his guard at will.

well he does that shite all the time, especially against slow shitty strikers and you could say there well maybe it was too late for him to realize he should hold them up until he got dropped the first time (although its stupid on his part). But the tdd was just not even attempted.
