Honestly Nebraska hasn’t been the same moving to the Big 10 since they lost most of the connections to recruiting Texas that they had in the Big 12. West Virginia is another school that comes to mind when they left the Big East and haven’t been able to recruit the state of Florida like they used to now that they are in the Big 12.

I don’t think this move is going to help UCLA or USC in many ways except for TV money

Those comparisons are identical if you ignore the fact UNL and WV both had to recruit out of state while UCLA doesn't...

suppose you are a recruit, a tennis player, swimmer or volleyball player from Sacramento looking at big ten travel times in January.
would you now rather go to California (Berkeley), uc San Diego or ucla?
San Diego has comparable academics and a beach.

No one cares about them. They bring zero money.

5 years later when they are having to wake up at 8 am to watch a game against Purdue or Rutgers? Not so much.

infinitely more preferable than staying in the pac as it withers and dies so yea, the fanbases will still be ok with it 5 years from now
