TWIB was a must Saturday after cartoon watch for kids who grew up with the 3 networks and a independent TV station if you were lucky.
It gave you all the important baseball stories in 30 minutes and some not so important stuff lol

Can remember watching the MLB Game of the Week on Saturday afternoons in the 80s with Vin Scully and Joe Garagiola

Yeah I remember it when it was Joe G and Tony Kubek doing the NBC national game (always a Saturday afternoon). That was late 70's. I'd be outside with my Yankees cap on then the game in the noon hour. It was always the yanks or the Big Red machine lol
