Tulane officials are saying that this is not true

No surprise there. For a second, I got excited. Then I remembered, this is Tulane.

I love the school but most of the admin and staff (professors, etc) need to adjust the attitude.

The only thing that I can make of that is that the Board has not voted yet (although Karre said that they did) and that he has been assured that the votes are there (he said unanimous) and that Tulane does not want to comment on this until the board votes.

Tulane to the Big 12 would be = to Vanderbilt to the SEC. Would that be so bad?

It would be a lot worse. Vandy doesn't get massacred in every SEC game like Tulane would in about 90% of games against Big XII teams. More importanyly Vandy is good in basketball where Tulane would again get massacred in most games. Eventually Tulane would imporve their talent level but they'd still bring up the rear in everything.

Just pull for them... Actually talking a few mba courses at night .... Family members play/work there ...

FWIW - I can not believe that karre is off on this. He was even making fun of other news outlets because he was breaking this news

I think Tulane still needs to add a sport ot two ... They got a break from the ncaa since katrina. But baseball, tennis, womens bball, golf and volleyball would be in the upper half of the big 12.

I've known Kaare for thirty years and this doesn't surprise me one bit. You going to the track? Did you see Aspy's picks on the OT?

Somebody has got to bring up the rear in some things. However, Tulane would not bring up the rear in baseball, women's basketball, or academics in the Big 12.

I think he will pump his opinion for sure. He might have a few sources on the Board. So it could be legit. I grew up playing golf with him at the NOCC.

No. Waiting on my one of my truck drivers to return from his run. Too much cash on him to leave at the office over the weekend. Having a few beers and posting. Good luck and don't forget to tell Mrs Threeputt hello for me.

Yeah, if Tulane can pull this off, it would be awesome. I can see Tulane in the Big12, and for anyone who doesn't think the fanbase is big enough, its pretty clear that they havnt spent anytime in uptown new orleans. this is a program just waiting to be resurrected.
