I'm not disagreeing with you by any means, just stating a retort.

Furthermore, teammates in San Fran spoke pretty highly of Colin Kaepernick during this season with the 49ers.

Plus he won his teammates Inspiration/ Leadership award.

Cutler is nearly universally disliked/ disrespected among teammates & never has Cutler ever led his team on a brilliant Super Bowl run like Kap only to lose by 3 in the Big game.

Trump has to talk about Kaepernick. Because Trump's real job is way too much for him.
How about that replacement bill, Mr President? You have found out why it was a stupid idea to name the previous bill Obamacare. He didn't write it. He didn't negotiate it. Senators did it. And ta da! The Senate has not got their hands on it yet. Wait until Senator Collins withholds her vote, pending "improvements" she writes.

Trump says he expects to make the Senate vote without any committee hearings!

Disagree.

Take away the kneeling, and he's 100% good enough to be signed to a team right now, especially if you consider as a backup. He'd immediately be the best/most proven backup QB in the league.

Any jackwagon can hold a clipboard.

But when a guy has baggage or is a distraction, it's better to find someone else to play backup. TO was an elite talent and teams still got tired of his act. Kaep is far from elite.

whether you agree or not, and the combination shows that tbird is right.
There is a 0% chance no team would want him as a backup if not for the kneeling them, so no it does not show that.

I feel like the only people who are defending kaep are people of his same race who feel like he's "oppressed by gms"
Just checked out a mirror, I feel like you're wrong.

Funny coming from the guy who thinks Kaep isn't good enough to be a backup, since he's actually good enough to be a starter.

If you think he was the sole reason for them going to the Super Bowl, then you'd have to accept tebow as being the reason for the playoff push

What are you talking about?

That's literally exactly my point.

Kaepernick is absolutely one of the best 32 QBs in the NFL.

I guess we'll never know. Not sure why you're taking this so personally?

He may be, but his baggage makes him a distraction no team wants to take on.

Why again was he replaced by Blaine gabbert?
Because of kneeling? Or putrid play?

If you answer that honestly, then the debate is settled. You have your right to your opinion, but facts are showing that opinion as incorrect

I'd recommend that you look at his stats against playoff bound teams during the end of last year. He wasn't the reason the 49ers sucked arse last year. He was one of the few flashes on that team. Nevertheless, I'm saying that he's a starter in this league. But at the minimum, he's a seasoned backup QB.

Ummm...

kaepernick delivers as 49ers take care of Packers SAN FRANCISCO -- Playoff first-timer Kaepernick outshined reigning NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers, who never got in sync for the Packers in finishing 26-of-39 passing for 257 yards and two touchdowns.
Kaepernick ran for scores of 20 and 56 yards on the way to topping the rushing mark of 119 yards held by Michael Vick

NFC Championship game against Atlanta:

16-21-231yds-1td

Superbowl against Baltimore:

16-28-302yds-1td

7rushes-62yds-1td

I think it is safe to say he lead that team during that playoff run.

There are a shite ton of seasoned backups available without the baggage. I can look at his stats against playoff bound teams. Stats don't tell the whole story about the game though. Momentum is a big part of it. Stats can be used to paint a pretty picture and hide an even uglier one, including kaep's game, or lack thereof

You can look at the film against playoff bound and/or highly ranked defensive units and see that he has a place in the league. His baggage seems like an outside issue. He wasn't a locker room problem in San Fran this year and his former head coach gave him a high recommendation.

Personally, I think it's a bitch move by the POTUS to try to score some cheap points at a rally by mentioning Colin. But then again, that's kind of par for the course for him.
